World Equestrian Games...Outback Trading was there!

To the critics the cynics and all the Nay Sayers, the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky might not of lived up to the hype. The stress to perform on US soil was high, as this is the first time the games were held outside of the confined walls of Europe. Well, from my seat the only thing I saw was a whole lot of horse people spending money and enjoying the competitions. Outback Trading Company was one of the hundreds of companies that had the wonderful opportunity to peddle their wares to an audience of international consumers. It was such an awesome sight watching a gentleman from Chile trying on an oilskin duster. I did not understand his language nor did he understand mine. However, we were able to communicate. I knew he wanted to look like an American Cowboy, the oilskin duster and an oilskin hat were just what the Doctor ordered. It happened this way with many of the "out of town" consumers, our languages were different however, the end result the same. Another happy customer taking their purchase from Outback Trading to where ever in the world they call home! I am very happy to say that Outback Trading Company had a very important role in the success of South Africa's Cara Frew. Cara’s mother wondered into the Outback Trading booth in search of something to tighten up the helmet that her sponsor had purchased for her. Outback to the rescue, we were able to fit her up with some foam from the hat boxes. In all, the World Equestrian Games was certainly an event that I am very proud to say Outback Trading was a participant. Next Games are scheduled for 2014 in Normandy, France, will Outback Trading make the trip across the big pond!

Friend of Outback Trading wins Gold at Special Olympics

For all of us that take things for granted or complain about all the little things....listen up! I would like to introduce a young lady that has found her niche in this world. Horses, yup like the Tom Petty song says, "loves horse's........" This young lady has made horses work within the special needs of her lifestyle. The beautiful thing about a horse is they do not judge you. Never will a horse notice if you have all the fingers that you were born without, nor will it notice if you haven't any legs. This is why the horse is the love of millions of people across the world that may have imperfections, special needs, or be lost within himself. The horse can carry the burden of all your less than perfect attributes. For this one special needs horseback rider, she has achieved when many have failed. Working day after day to attend the Special Olympics Equestrian Games. She did not just make the trip to Penn State from her home in Telford PA, to do anything other than win the Gold medal. She met her dreams and all of her hard work has paid off. Not only did she win a Gold medal, but she also was a Silver medal & a blue ribbon. She rides weekly at Ivy Hill Equestrian Center in Perkasie, Pa. Lisa Berlin is an up and coming horseman, and she has a wonderful taste for clothes. Lisa just loves Outback Trading products. Outback is very proud to have Lisa as a "fan" of Outback Trading. She is a wonderful example for all of us whom forget that there are things to be thankful for.....just remember to stop and for once smell the roses!

Outback Trading Co. Supports Fair Hill Steeplechase Races

Outback Trading Co. will be supporting the Fair Hill Races in Cecil County, Maryland. The nations best steeplechase horses along with their trainers will be competing in the event. Outback Trading is donating Outback Packable Rainwear to the winning trainer of each race. The festival is also part of the festivities that will take place Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the Fair Hill Natural Resource area. Outback Trading Company is very understanding of what it take to prep a horse to come to an event of this caliber. Horses are athletes and with that comes daily training, rain, or shine. Outback Trading Going to the Preakness

Exciting news....Outback Trading is a proud to announce that Outback Trading apparel will be in the owner/trainer baskets at the 135th running of the Preakness. In the 27 years that Outback Trading has been supplying the world with outdoor apparel, this is the first time that Outback will be represented at the Preakness. We are very excited about entering the world of Thoroughbred horse racing. Enthusiasm~It's contagious!

I talk to many people, and the one thing that I think that most sticks with me as I chat with someone, is their enthusiasm. It is something that is contagious both in a positive and a negative way. I do love to hear someone explain their pleasure with Outback's products. How the coat kept them dry and toasty warm, or just how wonderful they feel when they wear their favorite Outback vest. I think the absolute best is the amazement when I show the packable jacket demonstration. I think as adult persons we sometime try to crub our feelings, I say if you are happy, tell someone. If there is something you are scared about, say it. When you are amazed, let you emotions go. Next time the kid in you wants to say "Holy moly, that is way too cool," just say it.
